OPTEX INTRODUCE NEW SUNSHADE

OPTEX, the North London based Broadcast Group, have introduced the new SunDog Clamp-On Sunshade.
Designed primarily for the Canon XL-1s camcorder, the SunDog clamp-on sunshade has two filter stages (one rotating) and accepts standard 4”x4” and 4”x5.65” glass or resin filters. The sunshade is made of durable plastic with a non-reflective black finish, and is mounted to either the Canon 16x or 3x lenses via the existing hood bayonet mount. When used on the Canon XL-1s, it is possible to shoot as wide as 3.5mm (the widest field-of-view with the 3x wide-angle zoom lens) without vignetting.
The availability of three adaptor rings, size 79, 80 & 85mm, allows the SunDog sunshade to be used with a variety of other internal focusing lenses. A black moulded ‘French Flag’ is also available.
