CANON INTRODUCE NEW CINE-STYLE LENSES
CANON have developed seven new cine-style lenses.
Five of these seven models are the FJ Prime Series with fixed focal lengths of 5, 9, 14, 24 and 35 mm. They feature high modulation transfer functions, reduced chromatic aberrations and minimised distortion. They employ 8 pieces iris-leaves for capturing out-of-focus images and have an adjustable focus index-ring. The other two models are the cine-zoom lenses HJ11x4.7B KLL-SC, with a wide-end focal length of 4.7 mm, a zoom ratio of 11x and an MOD of 0.59 mm. The HJ21x7.5B KLL-SC dramatically reduces apparent changes in object dimensions during focusing. All these new cine-style lenses feature a unified design, which makes lenses interchangeable. They also feature a big focus rotation, 4 connectors for focus pins, index figures on both sides, high resolution, minimised zooming effect of focus and minimised chromatic aberration.
