Quantel to demonstrate full range at NAB 2003

Quantel are to demonstrate the full generationQ range for DI, post, graphics and broadcast news/live production at NAB 2003.
generationQ offers total scalability of hardware and software, true integration and teamworking between all systems in the family. As a result, generationQ has taken the market by storm. Visitors to the Quantel booth can see why, and also try it for themselves at special hands-on demos.
There will also be a number of new developments across the range revealed at the show.
At the top of the generationQ for Post range is the massively powerful iQ media platform – the only machine in the world capable of realtime 2k performance. iQ has established itself worldwide as the technology that has made the Digital Intermediate both practical and affordable, and is at the heart of virtually every digital intermediate operation set up over the last year. New digital film tools for iQ will be showcased at NAB, including QColor, the new, low cost, in-context colour grading option.
As HD production goes mainstream, the eQ Resolution Co-existent editing system is making HD and mixed resolution post an affordable proposition – producing pristine results at the same speed other systems handle just SD.
The new Quantel graphics range has had one of the company’s fastest-ever take-up rates for a new product. generationQ has brought the Quantel graphics environment to the designer’s desktop for the first time, in a form which provides a natural teamworking environment with the close-to-air Quantel graphics engines that broadcasters have relied on in their thousands over the years. Even in tight economic conditions, it is apparent that broadcasters will still invest in systems that enhance the creative quality of their output and improve the creative efficiency of their workflow.
