ACCOM AFFINITY EDITOR INSTALLED AT SIMPLY SHOPPING
UK-based interactive shopping channel Simply Shopping have installed a five-seat Accom Affinity storage-area networked real-time uncompressed non-linear editor at their production facility.
Broadcasting 24 hours a day in the UK on Sky Digital, Simply Shopping is starting two new channels: Simply Jewelry and Simply Music.
Brian Cutts, technical director of Simply Shopping, said: "When we first tried the Affinity system, we were so impressed with its editing speed that we decided to replace the other NLEs we had. With the volume of material we are working on in a 24-hour operation, even a 5 per cent performance improvement can make a significant difference.
In fact we find editing on the Affinity is 15 to 20 per cent faster than the system we used before."
