Cardigan Media Centre appoint Director
The yet to be named media centre project based in Cardigan, Wales, have appointed Paul Ingrams as Director.
Former broadcast news editor and agency creative director, Ingrams will oversee the 'topping-out' and fitting of the £1.5m multimedia facility, part of the Theatr Mwldan entertainment complex which is now undergoing a £6m refurbishment to include a new-build 250-seat theatre, cinema, restaurant, exhibition and rehearsal space.
The media centre, which has yet to find a working name, will include starter units for local video producers, animators and web designers, with a 'training room', studio space and shared high-end facilities for professionals, trainers, media students and community groups. In-house business mentoring, training and marketing support will be available. Plans are in hand to make the centre, co-funded by the National Assembly of Wales and the European regional development Fund, a wireless hub of the regional broadband network under the Broadband Wales initiative.
