SURREY APPOINTED AVID|DS AND SOFTIMAGE|XSI TRAINING CENTRE

AVID Technology have announced that The Surrey Institute of Art & Design University College have been appointed as an Authorised Training Centre for SOFTIMAGE|XSI software and an Avid Authorised Educational Centre for the Avid|DS system.
The courses will be based at the Faculty of Arts & Media located in Farnham, Surrey, and are part of a European Social Fund (ESF) project, promoting professional training opportunities in the South East Region in creative technology, of which Avid are a partner.
The Surrey Institute of Art & Design will be offering the following five day courses in XSI-201 Essentials and XSI-301 Production. Courses will be taught by Certified XSI Instructor and former Softimage employee, Nikki Bridgman.
The Avid|DS courses, taught by Rachel Williamson, include DS-101 an Introduction, DS-201 Essentials and DS-301 which focuses on Avid|DS Compositing and Graphics. The institute will also offer Continued Professional Development (CPD) Courses written by Surrey Institute Staff for the SOFTIMAGE|XSI, Avid|DS and Toonz systems.
The Surrey Institute of Art & Design University College are one of Europe's largest independent colleges specialising in art, design, media and communication. Based in Farnham and Epsom in Surrey, the Institute has nearly 3,000 students studying on over 30 programmes leading to diplomas, degrees and postgraduate qualifications.
