Eyeheight legalEyes chosen for London's Riverside

Riverside Television Studios, one of Europe's longest-established broadcast production facilities, has chosen Eyeheight's recently introduced video signal legaliser, legalEyes, for installation at their premises overlooking London's Hammersmith Bridge.
LegalEyes was selected for its compactness (1U), reliability and Eyeheight's proven technical support. The new installation comes on the heels of a complete refurbishment. In addition to its 563 and 420 square metre studios, Riverside now has spacious production, vision, lighting, sound and VTR galleries with a comprehensive lighting grid. LegalEyes, Eyeheight's third-generation video legaliser, provides real-time display of component video signal levels and a combination of soft-clip and hard-clip controls to ensure these signals do not exceed standard transmission thresholds. Conforming to EBU specification R103-2000, which specifies permitted maximum RGB colour space and luminance excursion, legalEyes gives quick and easy access to up to eight pre-defined settings. The version chosen by Riverside Television occupies a 1U Eyeheight Flexi-Box with front-panel control of luma and chroma gain and black level. A one-touch R103-2000 setting optimises the gamut to EBU recommendation. legalEyes has two independent SDI outputs. Out-of-gamut R, G and B components can be displayed in colour. legalEyes is fully compatible with Eyeheight's geNETics range of digital infrastructure equipment for broadcast and postproduction applications.
