The Future Is Now

Prompting, like other areas of the broadcast workflow, does not stand still, and the key to CueScript's continuing success is working closely with customers and listening to their changing needs.

At NAB 2017 we showed two new solutions that simplify and enhance the way prompting is used in today's studios and on location.

PTZ cameras are commonly used across a wide range of productions and sectors, from news and sports to Houses of Worship and education, but using a prompter display with a PTZ camera restricts the operation of the PTZ, since they are not designed to work with prompting units. In order to solve this issue, CueScript's development team examined the way in which a prompter is used in this scenario and literally turned the problem on its head.

With a patent pending, CueScript has developed an award-winning mounting system whereby the PTZ camera mounts upside down in the top of a specially designed prompter hood. Mounting the system this way eliminates the need for expensive tripods and makes using a lighting stand possible. The PTZ has greater movement in the shots it can achieve, and users are able to choose from a 15" – 19" LED display system.

With IP workflows gaining significant momentum and acceptance, CueScript also demonstrated the world's first complete IP based prompting solution. The 'CueiT' prompting software has been designed and built on feedback from today's broadcasters, offering greater flexibility, ease of use, and a shareware style allowing CueiT to be loaded onto every laptop/PC in the facility.
