Autocue Debut Prompting System At Broadcast LIVE & Video Forum

Since its launch at NAB 2007, Autocue’s IP-based QMaster and QBox prompting system has become the fastest selling prompting software of the year. The product will make its UK debut at Broadcast Live/ Video Forum in January and will be the perfect opportunity for the UK industry to see what’s behind the revolution.
Autocue CEO Frank Hyman said: "The QMaster and QBox system is completely unique - it’s resilient, versatile, and liberating, and as a result it’s inspiring our customers to push the previously accepted boundaries of prompting."
Hyman said: "Even if the PC or newsroom control system crashes, the QBox will continue scrolling, so presenters need never fear losing their prompt output again. This is a critical concern for live broadcasters and time-dependent productions - no other prompting company can offer this assurance."
This standalone capability extends perfectly to field shoots. Scripts can be loaded directly on to the QBox, or alternatively the QBox can be connected wirelessly to a PC. In either scenario the cameraman is completely untethered.
Hyman added: "The issues of wiring and distances have been completely removed. In essence, we are challenging the status quo for location-based prompting."
