Leitch's Panacea chosen by Panasonic for coverage of Athens 2004

Panasonic, Official Worldwide Olympic Partner since 1988, have chosen the new Leitch Panacea compact routing switchers and 6800+ modular infrastructure platform to help provide broadcast coverage of the 2004 Athens Summer Games in Athens, Greece.
"Panasonic carefully surveyed the marketplace to ensure we were providing the most advanced and reliable technology for coverage of the Athens Games," said Panasonic. "Leitch's new Panacea routers provide on-air quality in an exceptionally compact form factor, and the 6800+ platform offers high-density modules and unparalleled control flexibility, making these solutions ideal for the demands of this momentous broadcast event.
"Pansonic have enjoyed an excellent working relationship with Leitch since first using the company's equipment at the Atlanta Games in 1996.
"We have always been very happy with the performance of Leitch products, as well as with the customer satisfaction expressed by the worldwide broadcasters of the event." Along with the Panacea routing switchers and 6800+ infrastructure products, Leitch will also provide their feature-rich yet cost-effective MediaFile clip and still store system for the upcoming Athens Games.
"It is always an honour to be a part of this historical and exciting world event," said Stan Kabala, Leitch's interim president and CEO. "This year Panasonic is demonstrating exceptional confidence in the performance and quality of Leitch solutions by relying on some of our newest products during this high-profile, global production."
