The November 10 2003 launch of YesVideo brings to the UK and Ireland a volume service facility, that anyone can access, to convert video material into fully digitised and authored DVD and CD Discs at the previously unheard of cost of £20 (+ VAT & delivery).
YesVideo is the world’s leading automated video digitisation and authoring system, which has combined best-of-class video engineering and operations science to provide low-cost and fast-turn video digitisation and format conversion services to consumer, professional and trade customers.
Video material is accepted as VHS, S-VHS, VHS-C, Mini-DV, Digital8 (D8), Hi-8, 8mm and DVCAM - and more are being added. YesVideo outputs to one or all of three formats – YESDVD, YESCD and YESPIX.
Significant features are added during the conversion process. The DVD is divided into 54 chapters, and the content of each of these is numbered and represented on the DVD Case inlay for quick reference; optional special features (such as music highlights) are added, and intuitive navigation is provided. The YESCD includes the same effects, and also software for easy editing, exporting, printing etc. YESPIX contains a selection of the sharpest 200 frames from the DVD saved as JPEGs, with SlidePlayer software included for fast re-sequencing.
YesVideo’s turn-time is five days maximum (usually 2-3). Discs and case inlays can be private branded for regular customers.
