Science Museum and Fox partner on alien exhibition

The Science Museum through its commercial/enterprise arm NMSI Trading Ltd., have announced a major development and production agreement with leading international television producer Fox Television Studios (FTVS).
The parties are working together to create a landmark multi-media live exhibition and video property exploring the science of aliens.
Together, the Science Museum and FTVS will combine the expertise of leading scientists with top designers, producers, writers and animators. They will explore the scientific basis of life on distant worlds that could exist, and will shed light on the fascinating aliens that might have evolved in these environments.
'Meeting Aliens' (working title) is designed to reach a worldwide audience across multiple platforms, including an international touring exhibition, a primetime event television mini series, publishing, new media, and extensive licensing and merchandising opportunities. The exhibition and television series are due for release late 2004/early 2005.
Aaron Meyerson, FTVS's head of factual programming and Sara Milne, the Science Museum's Head of Commercial Exhibitions, will spearhead the project.
Robin Cole-Hamilton, CEO of NMSI Trading Ltd, said: "We are delighted that Fox Television Studios will be working with us as partners in exploiting the Meeting Aliens concept across a range of media platforms. The Science Museum and Fox Television Studios bring together an exciting mix of rigorous research, education, creative story-telling, immersive environments and state-of-the-art media.
"For us, creating such cross-platform portfolios of our science-based content for audiences worldwide widens our reach and ensures we remain innovative leaders in our field."
