Omnitek To Attend HPA Tech Retreat

Omnitek has announced it will be attending the HPA Tech Retreat at Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire where the firms President, Mike Hodson, will be demonstrating the 4K/UHD analysis, conversion and generation capabilities of the Ultra XR and 4K Tool Box.

The Ultra XR Advanced Waveform Analyzer is configured specifically for content creators, colourists, post-production editors and other processors of DI, working with ultra-high resolution UHD images delivered over QL 3G, DL 6G or 12G SDI and HDMI links. The XR provides all the traditional tools expected to work with DI but is engineered with 4K/UHD in mind and supports 12-bit 4:4:4 SDI input formats in YCbCr and RGB, along with Wide Colour Gamut RGB - ITU-R BT.2020 and High Dynamic Range (HDR) inputs - ST2084 / PQ and Hybrid Log Gamma.

Complementing the XR at the show is the Ultra 4K Tool Box, which has been shipping since summer 2015. The Ultra provides comprehensive diagnosis tools such as 12G-SDI Eye & Jitter analysis and full raster-video capture and playout (including ANC information). The 4K Tool Box was created to help with product design and 4K system infrastructure testing for 4K equipment manufacturers to develop and debug 4K applications with confidence.

The event will be held on 13 and 14 July 2016.
