Timeline Television Supports BBC Music Day

Timeline Television has provided a complete broadcast service around BBC Music Day 2016, it has revealed. The event, which took place on 3 June, featured over 350 events across the UK.

Timeline Television provided full post-production for the project including Ambassador films, Unsung Heroes films and the Legacy film at their MediaCityUK facility.

The Unsung Hero films feature people from around the country who have dedicated their time to changing lives in the community through music. The five winners, which were selected by a BBC panel, were featured on BBC Radio 2, online and on The One Show in a BBC Music Day special which was shown live from the Eden Project in Cornwall, where a team from Timeline provided live OB facilities.

In house off and online editor Sion Roberts also edited a turnaround film with footage delivered via mediashuttle from multiple locations into the company's MediaCityUK facility, managed by their MCR team overnight from Friday evening to Saturday morning.

Timeline's outside broadcast team provided a seven-camera OB facility for The One Show, presented by Alex Jones and Patrick Kielty.

Timeline also brought four remote feeds into the show. These included Colin Murray at Belfast's Stormont with a Game of Thrones tribute from the Ulster Orchestra; Fran Healy in Glasgow's Barrowlands, where Travis performed alongside the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, and Angellica Bell presenting from the top of the Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge.
