Gearhouse Broadcast secure German Winter Olympics contract

UK company Gearhouse Broadcast have been contracted by German television station Bayerisher Rundfunk to provide the broadcast equipment used in the Winter Olympics coverage for German viewers.
Gearhouse Broadcast will also be providing International Broadcast Centre facilities for Plazamedia GmbH, who provide coverage for German television, such as Premier World (Pay TV Channel), The German Sports Television, DSF and SAT. 1-Germany.
A job of this scale involves millions of pounds worth of broadcasting equipment and a warehouse has been acquired for the specific purpose of housing all the equipment prior to build and installation. Gearhouse Broadcast are essentially managing the building of infrastructure for the venue facilities as well as providing additional technical facilities at the IBC.
Gearhouse Broadcast were chosen by Plazamedia GmbH because of their successful project management skills and their ability to offer a totally integrated solution, as well as having positive feedback from previous collaboration between Gearhouse Broadcast and Plazamedia GmbH at the ATP Tennis Master Series.
