DK-Audio supplies Gearhouse Broadcast with video metering equipment

Danish manufacturer DK-Audio have announced that they are to supply UK-based Gearhouse Broadcast with a range of video metering equipment, which will be used in the ten Technical Operation Centres Gearhouse broadcast is installing at the UEFA Euro 2004 football championships in Portugal.
The order includes 20 DK-Audio PT5664/50 waveform monitors and six PT5210 sync pulse generators. Gearhouse Broadcast is also installing three DK-Audio PT5211 changeover units to ensure smooth and automatic switching to a back-up SPG in the unlikely event of signal failure.
London-based Gearhouse Broadcast, which specialises in equipment rental, sales and projects solutions, is supplying the 10 Technical Operation Centres to EBS 2004, the host broadcaster for UEFA Euro 2004. The company will also supply technical staff and cabling at all the Portuguese stadia where matches are taking place.
In total, there are 10 stadiums to cover, split across eight towns. The championships run over 22 days with kick off due on Saturday June 12 and the final held on Sunday July 4. Utilizing their existing inventory as well as having made substantial investment in additional broadcast equipment Gearhouse Broadcast will be providing the facilities, which will be used to distribute the International Signal to all rights holders at all venues for this event.
