Aspen Media Gets Fit For BVE

In a bid to help its customers achieve the 10,000 steps a day recommended for health improvement while tracking their heart rate and exercise stats, broadcast audio distributor Aspen Media is giving away a Fitbit Charge HR heart rate and fitness wristband on stand G30 at BVE.

However, getting fit is only a very small part of what is on offer from Aspen Media.

Anthony Wilkins, Jünger Audio's International Sales Manager, will be showing a selection of the range including D*AP8 TAP EDITION; an 8 channel loudness manager and audio processor that includes Spectral Signature dynamic EQ for matching vocal “fingerprints”.

TAP I/O options include SDI, Audio-over-IP Dante and MADI. Dolby decoding and encoding options are also available.

Those wanting to see the latest developments in IP mixing desks will not be disappointed with the Stagetec OnAir Flex. It's a modular system that employs IP to connect to hardware or virtual control surfaces and its core is the renowned NEXUS router fitted with Dante Audio-over-IP interfaces. OnAir Flex will be ably demonstrated by Audio Engineer Alexander Nemes. Alex has been with Stagetec for many years and is always happy answering questions.

DirectOut Technologies, represented by Claudio Becker-Foss, is introducing MADI.MONI, a handheld MADI line checker that includes a headphone jack allowing any mono or stereo pair of the 64 MADI channels to be monitored.

MADI.MONI's sibling ANNA-LISA, a handheld MADI signal analyser and generator, will be showing in-depth analysis of the MADI signal via an Android device. Claudio played an important part in the development of the ANNA-LISA so he knows it inside out.
In addition, a selection of DirectOut's extensive range of routing, conversion and MADI problem solvers will be on hand for demonstration.

A new manufacturer for Aspen Media, Tac System, is launching VMC-102, a multi-stem and 32 monitor-bus monitoring system for consoles and workstations mixing for Dolby Atmos or MPEG-H. VMC-102 utilises DirectOut ANDIAMO as its MADI I/O.

Aspen Media's long time supplier JLCooper is launching an affordable surround panner for Pro Tools and Apple Logic Pro X. AXOS gives comprehensive control including Pan, Divergence, Volume, Mute, LFE, Centre Percentage and Channel Navigation. It connects to Pro Tools Systems on Mac or Windows via USB.

The JLCooper SloMo Mini is another new addition to the range. Its small size makes it ideal for OB trucks but doesn't restrict its capabilities. Controlling up to four video players using RS-422 9-pin protocol, it incorporates a professional T-bar for SloMo speed and shuttle control, transport controls and jog wheel and a keypad for cue entry.

Intercom supplier DELEC, will, for the first time in the UK, be showing two products in its new Unito range of Dante enabled audio interfaces. DIO, short for Dante Input Output, offers a host of interfaces and conversion choices and incorporates a mic pre-amp and stereo headphone amplifier. NIO 0204 is an ingest interface that accommodates analogue, digital or headphone monitoring.
