Aspen Media Delivers New Products At BVE

Broadcast audio distributor Aspen Media promises to deliver more new products than ever before to the UK market at BVE when the doors open on 23rd February.

The first product launch will be the VMC-102 from Japanese manufacturer Tac System. VMC-102 is a multi-stem and 32 monitor-bus monitoring system for consoles and workstations mixing for Dolby Atmos or MPEG-H. It also provides the opportunity for those wishing to graduate to multi-stem mixing in 5.1.

MADI specialist DirectOut will introduce the handheld MADI.MONI MADI line checker. Essential for engineers working in a MADI environment; OBs, Touring or Live for example, MADI.MONI includes an onboard headphone jack allowing any mono or stereo pair of the 64 MADI channels to be monitored. A 12 LED traffic light system indicates the status of the MADI connection itself.

DirectOut will also show MONTONE.42; a MADI to RAVENNA bridge, MADI.BRIDGE; an 8x8 MADI router and switcher, its ANDIAMO series of MADI to Analogue, AES and mic converters and many more MADI problem solvers from its comprehensive MADI range.

AXOS Panner from JLCooper is having its debut, a much requested and inexpensive surround panner for Pro Tools and Apple Logic Pro X. Connected via USB, the compact AXOS Panner is easy to install and will automatically configure itself for use with your DAW.

Another UK first from JLCooper is SloMo Mini. Small in design but big in capability, SloMo Mini can control up to four video players using RS-422 9-pin protocol. It includes a professional quality T-bar for SloMo speed and shuttle control, transport controls and jog wheel and a keypad for cue entry.

DELEC NIO 0204 is a recording and monitoring interface for a DAW that can sit in a Dante network and provide analogue, digital or headphone monitoring plus inputs and outputs to other local devices. It is part of the new Unito range of Dante enabled audio interfaces. NIO 0204 has two mic inputs that use high quality 32-bit preamps making it ideal for voice over, commentary or continuity.

DELEC will also be demonstrating its Dolby enabled DELEC Compact Intercom.

Jünger Audio will show its range of audio processors including the D*AP4 VAP EDITION for commentary and voice over that incorporates Jünger's proprietary Spectral Signature dynamic EQ for matching vocal "footprints". A stack of D*AP4 VAP EDITION processors have recently been installed by Input Media in its new voice over studios in West London.

No Aspen Media stand at BVE would be complete without a mixer from Salzbrenner Stagetec and this year's stand will be no exception. Stagetec will be demonstrating the ON AIR Flex, a Dante enabled and network controlled digital mixer.

ON AIR Flex uses the renowned Stagetec NEXUS audio matrix as IO and core DSP for mixer configurations of up to 54 input channels and 32 mix buses. NEXUS also offers any combination and scale of analogue and digital IO.

The control surfaces offer an unrivalled freedom of configuration as they can be either hardware or virtual, using a standard web browser and touchscreen.
