Custom Consoles Announces CABSAT Lineup

News Image
Custom Consoles will unveil MediaPost, as well as the latest version of its EditOne desk in their first Middle East exhibition appearance at CABSAT 2016. Also on display will be the Module-R series client-configurable technical furniture and the Media Wall monitor display system.

The company will be represented at the show by Neil Reed (Managing Director), Gary Fuller (Sales Manager) and Phillip Jameson (UAE-based Regional Sales Manager).

Custom Consoles MediaPost portable monitor mount
MediaPost is a free-standing portable monitor mount matching the styling and build quality of the MediaWall. MediaPost can be easily moved around a studio or used to supplement existing control room displays. It accommodates monitor panels of up to 65 inch diagonal screen size and auxiliary devices such as loudspeakers. Other applications include studio floor monitoring, script display prompts and in-view studio backgrounds.

Each MediaPost is constructed from extruded aluminium profiles, black or silver anodised, forming a 1,806 millimetre high column. These are supported by a 700 mm wide x 590 mm front-to-back base fitted with rear wheels to allow easy positioning. The base and a middle-height equipment shelf are finished in a matte black powder coating. Loudspeaker mounts are available if required. There is also an optional horizontal beam, which matches the finish of the vertical columns. MediaPost is fully height-adjustable to ensure sight lines are optimised when using tilting screen mounts. Cables can be fully concealed behind removable covers. MediaWall comes with a two-year guarantee against component failure during normal use.

EditOne editing and graphics desk
Developed for use in video editing suites and broadcast graphics areas, the Custom Consoles EditOne desk uses sculpted MDF support panels rather than metal legs. The curved theme is carried through to the desktop and a raised monitor shelf. The new version has an enhanced surface finish while retaining the horizontal and vertical profiles which have made EditOne a popular choice for video and audio post-production suites. It follows the existing structural configuration but has powder-coated underside legs and pods. The work surface and shelf finishes are also enhanced, both now available with oak-effect foil applied by a thermoform press which follows the contours of the base it to which it is applied.

Front and rear corners of the EditOne desk and optional pedestal are curved, eliminating the possibility of collision with sharp protrusions. The worktop and monitor base have hard-wearing curved edges at front, sides and rear.

The EditOne desk incorporates three equipment pods with a collective nine units of rack space. These form the base of a monitor shelf. Full cable management is provided. Power distribution is optional. An auxiliary equipment pedestal with an additional 11U of rack space and an integral worktop can be supplied.

The EditOne range of furniture is designed for flat-pack delivery which allows fast despatch to site. Assembly can be performed quickly and easily by the customer using the supplied Allen key and screwdriver. An on-site assembly service is available.

Module-R user-configurable technical furniture
Custom Consoles' Module-R allows aesthetically attractive and long-life desks to be configured to meet specific shapes and dimensions from a selection of high-quality pods, base sections, 19 inch rack housings, worktops, end-panel modules and legs. Coordinated desk pods are available as single-bay sections with up 10U chassis capacity. Being based on standard-sized modules, furniture in this series can be modified by the client or system integrator at any stage during the lifetime of an installation. Module-R Lite is identical in design to the standard Module-R range but based on 930 mm front-to-back rather than 1,200 mm front-to-back desk dimensions.

Media Wall monitor display mounting system
Media Wall allows flat-screen monitor displays of practically any width to be constructed from standard horizontal and vertical support elements. It can be used as a fully self-supporting structure or coupled directly to the studio wall. Individual screens can be positioned so that their edges meet exactly to form a continuous horizontal display, limited only by the boundary of the monitor panel itself. All wiring is fully concealed and can enter or leave the structure at any desired point. Media Wall is available in a silver-anodised or black-powder coated finish and in any specified element widths.

Custom Consoles will be exhibiting on stand ZM2-32 at CABSAT 2016, March 08 – 10.
