New Mo-Sys Lambda motion head released

News Image
London-based company, Motion Systems Technology, have announced the release of Mo-Sys Lambda repeatable motion head for easy motion control, motion sensing and post-production interfacing.
The Mo-Sys Lambda has been designed to answer the demand for easy-to-use, high-end motion control and motion sensing applications for the film and broadcast industry.
The equipment is quick to set-up, using the same connector on each module, so the operator can be recording the first move within minutes, with frame accurate repeatability.
Input devices include pan bar for a 'Fluid Head'-like feel and hand wheels or joystick are fully interchangeable to control the geared head. The Lambda slides allow for completely nodal positioning of the camera and the head will accept almost any camera from the most compact video system up to the largest main unit film cameras.
The lens control unit can interface with lens motors like Preston, ARRI and Scorpio allowing complete control of focus, iris and zoom as part of the move.
The playback facility is up to six times faster and allows for real-time ramping or animation and time-lapse procedures. And the interconnecting cable carries both power and control signals and enables the camera to be up to 100 metres from the input controls so that it can be used as a completely remote head if required.
The whole system is directly compatible with an increasing range of equipment, including the Mega III and DaVinci remote heads, and T-REX snorkel lens. The product's MoveManager software can allow users to exported data to 3D post-production software.
