Heads up on upcoming motion control demonstration
Mark Roberts Motion Control are to hold a showcase event on Thursday November 4, at Dukes Island Studios, where there will be a demonstration of the Ulti-Head.
The event, in London, is open to all cameramen, directors, DoPs, rental companies and all those interested in finding out about using motion control or the new Ulti-Head.
This is a chance to learn more about motion control, ask questions and get information, but more importantly learn about what you can do with the Ulti-Head, which will be shown on a Technocrane and a tripod.
There will be a tutorial on motion control shown, as well as drinks and an excellent opportunity to network with others in the industry.
The event will run twice during the day, in the afternoon and in the evening, to fit around shooting schedules. The first will be 2:30pm to 4pm and the second from 6:30pm to 8pm.
For directions to the venue at Red Stage, Dukes Island Studios, Dukes Road, Western Avenue, London visit www.islandstudios.net/DIS_map.htm
Mark Roberts Motion Control have also thanked those who responded to the recent newsletter survey sent out. The response was described as "phenomenal" and will greatly help in tailoring the newsletter to clients' requirements. The general consensus was that the newsletter is an excellent source of information and that you would like to see more user stories, as well as techniques shown and explained.
Drop MRMC a line should you come up with anything else that you would like to hear about and if you are a motion control user and have a shoot you would like to tell others about or some technique you want to discuss through the newsletter, please just let the company know.
Since the revamp of the Motion Control Discussion website at www.mocoforum.com usage has started to grow and more and more users are registering online, turning this into a vibrant community and an active source of useful moco discussion and information.
A DVD Showreel - The 2005 Motion Control Explained DVD - is available by contacting Mark Roberts Motion Control or for further information about CGI, remote heads, cranes, dollies, accessories or any other filming equipment contact [email protected]
