New digital OB at AFL Television Facilities

Work has recently been completed on the re-equipping of AFL’s Multicamera Unit in a fully Digital Widescreen switchable form with Sony Digital Vision Mixer and six cameras.
Digital Betacam or Betacam-SX iso-recording also available on each.
The Unit has been the cornerstone of the location facilities used by BBC Bristol for The 'Great Antiques Hunt' on BBC1, 'Brook Lapping' for Garden Party on Channel 4 and 'Wine Hunt' for Chatsworth Productions on Channel 4.

The Unit has also been used by a wide variety of clients on numerous projects all over Europe and was previously equipped with Betacam-SP kit for 4:3 work. The Unit is unique in its field in providing a state-of-the-art facility in such a very small and economical package.
When used in its vehicle a VW Caravelle, it offers very quick set-up and de-rig times along with easy parking in barely more space than is required for a car which is very unusual for such a facility. It is also fully demountable and can be set-up in virtually any location where there is a 13-amp socket and a small amount of desktop available.
