New Series Of Fresh Meat To Air Next Year

News Image
Channel 4 has confirmed the fourth – and final – series of Fresh Meat will air in 2016.

The series follows the university life of residents in 28 Hartnell Avenue as the housemates face their finals and the prospect of graduation.

The previous series saw Oregon, played by Charlotte Ritchie, vying to become Student Union President – which she did. However, as she now plans to leave her legacy, she seeks out the support of Support Officer Rosa, played by Ayda Field.

Rosa is strong minded, and when Oregon's ambitions start to overshadow her responsibilities, tensions increase between the two. As their working relationship begins to deteriorate, Kingsley (played by Joe Thomas) is drawn to Rosa. However, will Rosa see beyond the apparently carefree student?

Fresh Meat was first broadcast in 2011 and has won a number of awards since.

It is an Objective Productions series, and produced by Rhonda Smith and executive produced by Judy Counihan, Sam Bain, Jesse Armstrong and Andrew Newman.

Sam Bain, Jesse Armstrong, Tom Basden, Penelope Skinner, Jon Brown and Tony Roche are the writers for Fresh Meat.
