Eyeheight add canaletto to range

A new addition to the Eyeheight range, canaletto, is a broadcast-quality digital colour corrector providing individual control of R, G and B gain, lift and gamma.
An integral legaliser ensures that the resultant video output complies with authorised specifications for television transmissions. Also incorporated is a safe-area generator, which can be set to display safe-action and safe-title cursors for all standard aspect ratios. Input is via 270 Mbit/s SDI feeding a 10-bit internal processor with three 270 Mbit/s SDI outputs (loopthrough, main and indicate).
The canaletto comes in a 1U Eyeheight Maxi-Box with internal expansion space for a further five colour correction channels if required. These can be operated via a local control panel, desk-mounting control panel or touchscreen system controller. A single canaletto channel can alternatively be housed in a free-standing desktop unit.
Eyeheight Managing Director Martin Moore said: "canaletto combines high versatility with cost-efficiency, enabling camera crews, telecine colourists, editors and transmission playout staff to achieve uniform colour matching quickly and easily. The internal legaliser ensures that incoming colour channel levels are within broadcast specification and remain so after rebalancing. Like all Eyeheight broadcast products, canaletto is designed for used with 4:3 through to 16:9 aspect ratios."
