APTN secures exclusive on Benn's Hussein interview
Associated Press Television News (APTN), the international video arm of the Associated Press, has secured international exclusive distribution of the recent interview of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein by former British politician Tony Benn in Baghdad.
APTN distributed the interview with Saddam Hussein, the Iraqi leader's first interview since the 1991 Gulf War, at 1700-1740GMT (repeated at 1900-1940GMT) on Tuesday, 4 February 2003.
APTN's clients received 24-hour news access rights to the footage, after that time, broadcasters wanting to use the footage should contact APTN's Library.
