Adder Technology Selected For Football Coverage

News Image
Adder Technology has been selected by a top football club to provide coverage and observation of the first team's training sessions.

The club recently installed the AdderLink Infinity Dual, which provides high performance KVM over an IP network, allowing the facility to build a more flexible infrastructure. The club are now able to locate computers in their desired location, and share the video, control and interactions between the different screens and locations.

The club, which is based in the UK, was looking to extend a dual head video signal from its central communications room, across site to a different building where the facility has dedicated areas suited to observing and analysing the first team's training sessions. The engineers also need to keep the PC in a reliable environment that would offer the required power, security and cooling, while feeding the signal to an outlying building without the need to install fresh cabling between the two sites.

The ability to locate the computers far away from the user offered flexibility in where the stations could be set up. To control multiple computers from one keyboard, mouse or touch screen without lag or loss of performance also offered an advantage to the team in analysing individual and team performance.

John Halksworth, Senior Product Manager, Adder, said: "Representatives at the club explored a number of alternative options prior to selecting our solution, including KVM over copper, KVM over fibre and remote access software via the internet. An AV contractor at the club presented the idea of the AdderLink Infinity Dual and the solution performed perfectly in the exploratory testing phase. We are delighted that one of our globally used solutions will play an important role is making the set up more flexible, simple and efficient.

"The feedback we have received from the club has been extremely positive and they are very satisfied with the products. The AV team have praised both the reliability and stability and the fact that it meets their requirements in terms of setup, performance and dependability."
