Euphonix and DK-Audio cooperate at IBC

Console manufacturer Euphonix have complimented the surround capabilities of their System 5 film console by showing it at IBC in conjunction with a DK-Audio Master Stereo Display 600M meter.
The distinctive Jelly-Fish display employed by the meter enables engineers to see at a glance exactly what is happening to the audio signal when they are working in surround. Over the last year an increasing number of console manufacturers have been offering DK-Audio MSD600 series meters as an option on desks intended for film and broadcast applications.
Russell Waite, VP of international sales for Euphonix, said: “The System 5 is a very versatile film console installed in many first class facilities around the world. Many of our customers have already installed a DK-Audio MDS600M and we’ve taken their lead to look at ways to properly integrate a full solution. The meter is an ideal compliment for this application because, in addition to our TFT meter bridge, it offers a full colour LCD display with the Jelly-Fish, and offers many different meter ballistics requested by our customers. The open architecture of the System5 allows the MSD600M to be inserted in many different channel paths or outputs very easily.”
