UPRtek Launch CV600 Spectral Colour Meter

UPRtek have announced the launch of the CV600 Spectral Colour Meter.

The device, which measures colour, light and exposure, is suitable for filmmakers, videographers and photographers looking for colour accuracy and lighting consistency.

The handheld meter enables professionals to shoot more efficiently under controlled conditions. Light readings and set-up information can be saved to a removable SD card, allowing users to build an external library of light readings and settings for future shoots. The device has a range of metering modes that lets users take the guess work out of lighting, thereby reducing set-up time. The spectrometer is ideal for creative professionals that require accurate lighting in studios and on location.

In basic mode, the CV600's touch sensitive display panel can be set to display four user-selected points of measurement criteria, all on the same display. Among the various display options, users can select:

• Correlated Colour Temperature (CCT) readings in degrees Kelvin
• Colour Rendering Index (CRI) readings across the colour spectrum from R1 to R15
• Television Lighting Consistency Index (TLCI) readings
• Lux level readings.

Advanced modes include CRI, Flicker, Filter, Exposure, Spectrum, TM-30 and CIE.

The CV600 is priced at £1,438.80 (including VAT) and will be launched at IBC2017. UPRtek will be on stand 9.LP15.
