Gearhouse and Link Research sign contract to market LinkXP

Gearhouse Broadcast and Link Research have finalised an agreement whereby Gearhouse Broadcast will add the LinkXP digital wireless camera systems to its portfolio of Broadcast equipment.
Gearhouse Broadcast will sell and rent LinkXP systems from its offices in the UK and in their recently opened US office in Los Angeles, California and will also offer systems for rental in Australia.
The LinkXP uses diversity antennas and has almost eliminated wireless signal delay with its advanced MPEG encoding. It is becoming a favourite choice of sports and news productions where cameras move around during live broadcast. It played a major role in recent live news coverage from Baghdad and delivered live coverage of events such as horseracing and the Premier League football tournaments. It was recently introduced in the pit lanes at the gruelling 24 hour Le Mans race. Link Research is now offering its second system, the LinkXP2, with reverse camera control for sports broadcast.
Gearhouse Broadcast, which employs over 100 staff worldwide, is one of the largest broadcast equipment and facility suppliers. They are best known for equipment rental and project management services but have also moved into equipment sales and have proven expertise in production solutions.
They provided the technical and production facilities for "I'm a Celebrity - Get me out of here" and supplied equipment for some of world's biggest sports events: the Sydney 2000 Olympics, the Football World Cup 2002, the Cricket World Cup 2003 and Wimbledon. They have close relationships with many of the world's broadcasters.
