Brick House Video showcase VTB-2D at IBC

Brick House Video's VTB-2D - the newly launched, competitively priced, broadcast specification SDI/composite hybrid rack-mount 1RU switcher - is attracting attention at IBC 2003 (Stand 11-118).
The fully-featured unit is stirring interest with outside broadcast vans/trucks and small to medium edit suites seeking a cost-effective yet comprehensive solution for their switching needs. Brick House Video, Ltd. is the innovative manufacturer of a range of award-winning compact and cost-effective production and post-production equipment.
Based upon the widely-accepted VTB-1D, the latest generation switcher incorporates significant enhancements, including frame-store synchronizers for asynchronous working, and digital audio processing including slave mixes.
An 8-input switcher, the VTB-2D has programme and preview SDI and composite outputs with two auxiliary outputs. Together with standard wipes and mixes, the unit offers soft edge and variable width/colour border and auto fade to black, and has full editor capability for Sony or Grass Valley protocols.
The VTB-2DR desk-mount panel controls the VTB-2DC rack-mount unit via a single cable RS-422 and power link. The VTB-2D also offers both composite inputs and a single-layer dual-channel DSK as options.
The VTB-2D can operate in stand-alone mode or from station reference, and two composite sync outputs are provided. The switcher has full GPI capability, with high-current GPI output drivers.
The VTB-2DC mainframe is supplied in a 1RU rack-mountcase, and will run from any voltage supply in the range 100-263V a.c.
The VTB-2DR remote control panel measures 300mm wide x 160mm deep x 65mm at the rear.
