Firms Sign For Media Production Show

Panasonic, JVC and Holdan are among the first companies to have signed up as exhibitors at next year's Media Production Show.

The exhibition and conference in central London will celebrate the media industry's creativity and showcase its latest technology, encompassing services and kit used in pre-production, production and post-production.

Other companies that have committed to the two-day event include Holdan, which will show the latest products from manufacturers such as Teradek, SmallHD, Alphatron and Paralinx, as well as Pinewood Studios, euNetworks, Ravensbourne, Object Matrix, Shooting Partners, NMR, Alias Hire, First Positions and PEC Video.

Nigel Wilkes, Group Manager of Panasonic Professional Systems UK, said: "The Media Production Show represents the changing landscape of production in the UK as content creativity across traditional TV, film and commercials merge in terms of technology and expertise. The addition of live events, AV and corporate production will ensure that the show has something for everyone and Panasonic are pleased to support it from the outset."

As well as showcasing the latest kit from leading manufacturers, companies working in fields such as crewing, recruitment, legal, finance and locations will be on hand to advise those working in all fields of the media industry.

MBI Event Director, Charlotte Wheeler, said: "The fantastic response we have had from the industry demonstrates the requirement for a new show which allows manufacturers and service providers the opportunity to showcase their businesses to a wider audience of content creators in the UK, in a central London location.

"We look forward to welcoming more exhibitors over the coming months and for those interested in visiting can now register online to receive all the latest news and updates from the show."

The Media Production Show is organised by MBI, the publisher of Broadcast, Screen International and shots. The Production and Post Forum, which MBI has run for the past two years, will be incorporated into the Media Production Show.

Sessions at the last Production Post Forum included keynote addresses and panel discussions on the craft of shooting and editing leading drama, natural history and factual programmes. Speakers at the event included Studio Lambert chief executive Stephen Lambert, The Honourable Woman creator Hugo Blick and writer Jed Mercurio, who discussed Line Of Duty with DoP Ruairi O'Brien.

The Media Production Show will take place on 9 and 10 June 2016 at the Business Design Centre in Islington.
