Andrew Corporation and Kathrein-Werke form alliance

Andrew Corporation and Kathrein-Werke KG of Germany have announced an agreement where the companies will cooperate on the licensing of Remote Electrical Downtilt Antenna Technology (REDT) related patents.
Under the new agreement, Andrew and Kathrein will cross-license relevant patents, giving both companies the ability to offer Remote Electrical Downtilt Technology to customers worldwide.
"This is a really great opportunity for Andrew, Kathrein, and the wireless market," said Paul Cox, group president, Antenna Products, Andrew Corporation. "Because of the global presence of Andrew and Kathrein, operators worldwide will now have a competitive choice for Remote Electrical Downtilt Technology. This will help operators to transition from traditional fixed tilt antenna solutions to Remote Electrical Downtilt Technology at a much quicker pace."
