Andrew Pons Appointed Head Of Sales For SysMedia

SysMedia has announced that it has appointed Andrew Pons as Head of Sales and Marketing. As well as further developing sales channels and continuing the company’s growth across international markets, he will be responsible for coordination between the sales, development and support teams.
Pons has over 11 years of experience in international sales and marketing across European and US markets. His most recent position was with The Electronic Farm where he set up sales and support operations and spent some time working in Spain.
Prior to that he was EMEA Sales Manager at Encoda Systems where he worked on broadcast playout systems. He also has gained invaluable channel management, sales and marketing experience with De la Rue Systems as European Marketing Manager.
Pons commented on his appointment: "This is a tremendous opportunity for me as SysMedia is at an exciting stage in its development. The European subtitling market is on the verge of significant growth, spurred on by enhanced legislation, while the opportunities for cross-platform interactivity continue to expand as the broadcast and wider media industries begin to exploit alternative distribution mechanisms."
