Bournemouth students win Kodak awards
Students from the Bournemouth Film School, an affiliate of the Arts Institute, have won two Kodak awards.
Michael Pearce and Wayne Burton were awarded second prizes for their work in the Best In Brief and the Best In Cinematography categories respectively.
The competition, which was open to students on film and television courses across the UK and Ireland, were presented at the Conference Suite at Regent's Park Zoo on March 7.
The awards were divided into a variety of categories comprising briefs for commercials, craft awards for cinematography, creative and editing and recognition for overall achievement.
After the ceremony, John Last, Vice Principal of the Arts Institute, said: "This is another outstanding achievement for the students and staff of the BA Hons Film and Animation Production. The films produced for these awards were of the highest level of quality and creativity. To be successful for the fourth year running is an amazing achievement and it is this consistency which reinforces the enviable reputation of Bournemouth Film School."
The Arts Institute at Bournemouth is no stranger to success and has picked up Queen's Anniversary Prize in 1998, and the institute was recognised as a Centre of Vocational Excellence for Lens-based Media in August 2001.
