Rose Hackney Barber complete new commercial for Simple

Accantia recently turned to Joe Roman of Rose Hackney Barber to direct a new commercial for 'Simple Regeneration', with impressive visual results.
Shot in Bucharest, the commercial opens with a train leaving a dingy underground metro station. Pedestrians fill crowded streets, exhaust fumes from cars pollute the atmosphere and grey high rise office blocks tower over the melee below. As workers head for and depart from their offices the giant image of a young woman, luminous in comparison to her dreary surroundings, slowly rotates on the screen.
Down on the pavement a young woman stands out from the crowd, watching as the giant woman reaches towards the sky and pulls the clouds across to obscure the sun.
On the pavement the young woman remains entranced as the giant blows smog from a power station into the distance. The commercial is set to the haunting track, 'The World is Our Own' by Goldlust, and ends with the tag line: 'Skin Protection From Simple.'
Joe Roman said: "This is a great opportunity to move the beauty genre on into the real world. Shooting in the streets of Bucharest was a challenge, but it gave us the edge we needed and the street scenes contrast really well with the beauty passes we did in the studio. The agency was very supportive and I think we're all very pleased with the result."
