RM and Pinnacle Systems to provide UK education solutions

RM Partners have joined forces with Pinnacle Systems, a market-leading supplier of video editing solutions, to develop a complete range of digital video-editing systems for UK schools, colleges and universities.
With the rapid growth of webcasting and digital media on the Internet, digital video editing is becoming increasingly important to support a range of curriculum activities.
In recognition of this, RM and Pinnacle are working together to create a range of powerful digital video-editing systems that will be appropriate for a variety of budgets.
The Pinnacle products join RM Partner’s existing line-up of video-editing solutions and the companies hope to provide a comprehensive range of digital video-editing resources – all pre-installed and ready to use on a choice of RM PCs.
The new Pinnacle range offered by RM includes the entry-level editing software, Studio 7, and Pinnacle’s new Edition DV for professional broadcast-quality editing. Other software titles available pre-installed in the Pinnacle range include: Commotion Pro; TitleDeko Pro; Impression DVD Pro; and Hollywood FX/Pro.
RM’s video-editing solutions feature a range of processors, hard disk drives, graphics card options, SD and DDR RAM memory types, recordable media options including DVD burner, and a comprehensive on-site warranty.
Tim Pearson, Chief Executive at RM, said: “Through our relationship with Pinnacle, we are now able to provide a comprehensive range of video editing products to meet the specific requirements of education. Video editing is becoming increasingly more important in schools and colleges and we are delighted to include this range as part of our complete educational solution.”
Steve Wise, Business Manager for Professional Software Products at Pinnacle Systems, said: “We are very keen to expand our position in the education market and believe that the partnership with RM will help us to achieve this. Together we can provide world-class systems for students, complete with cutting-edge tools for content creation, from editing to publishing on DVD.”
