Miller 'Sprints' in new NAB South Hall

The Miller company will display its complete range of support products, including the Sprinter tripod series, at booth 18942, in the new South Hall Second (Upper) Level of the Las Vegas Convention Centre.
The company views the Sunday premiere as "a great opportunity" to advance showcase the Sprinter/Arrow ENG line-up, and introduce new studio production and DV support products.
The Sprinter ENG tripod has placed Miller centre-stage in the lightweight, high-speed ENG support arena. The product integrates dual-action Sprint locks (patent-pending) on the Sprinter two-stage carbon and alloy tripods, along with the innovative online carry handle and rapid-action transport clips.
The Sprinter system is capable of streaming fast-breaking news situations and, combined with increased set-up speed and lightweight design, the system is flexible and durable.
The Sprinter has been completely redesigned from the ground up using the latest 3D modelling and precision CAM machining. Miller's designers have optimised the strength and pivot action of the critical bowl-to-leg top section of the tripod to provide a greater level of tortional rigidity in a tripod this light. This development represents more stable shooting, even in high wind or telephoto situations.
Arrow and Arrow HD fluids have benefited from a new internal design, with both fluid heads now offering smooth pan/tilt and diagonals, negligible backlash and inertia, plus an extra 30 per cent drag range.
To help make customers aware of this new venue, which adjoins the existing North Hall, NAB will open the South Hall for a preview from 4pm-7pm on Sunday April 7 - the day before the official exhibition opening of NAB.
