Broadcast Technology reveals new products at NAB

Broadcast Technology will unveil their new DTMD 1000 COFDM demodulator at booth NAB L9844.
Designed to meet the needs of set-top box software houses and hardware manufacturers, the DTMD 1000 which has a 70 MHz IF output in addition to UHF output, and is optionally available with data rate monitoring on the incoming transport stream. Null packets can be added automatically when the data rate is below the correct rate, thus ensuring a corrected rate at the IF output.
The company's new DTCR 1000 cable receiver will make its first US appearance as a concept model at NAB 2002. The DTCR 1000 is an operational cable receiver enabling access to the digital video transport stream from a 64 to 256 QAM carrier. The cable receiver is aimed at cable television system operators and MPEG test engineers who require QAM carrier demodulation facilities.
The DTSR 1000 satellite receiver will make its first US appearance as a concept model at NAB 2002. The DTSR 1000 is an operational satellite receiver enabling access to the digital video transport stream from a 64 to 256 QAM carrier. The satellite receiver can be integrated with other BTL products such as the DTVD MPEG-2 decoder and BTL routing solutions, allowing a complete system to be built for cable head-end digital television reception and signal analysis.
Also on display will be DTSR 1000 ATSC terrestrial receiver - an operational terrestrial receiver enabling access to the digital video transport stream from a 64 to 256 QAM carrier.
Complementing Broadcast Technology Ltd's new DVB off-air receivers, the DTVD 1000 professional MPEG-2 decoder has been designed to cater for the operational end of the market. Occupying a compact 1 U, this low-cost unit offers ASI and composite input plus serial digital video with embedded audio output. Separate analogue and digital audio outputs are also provided.
Founded in 1987, Broadcast Technology Ltd specialises in manufacturing high-quality test equipment, signal switchers, distribution amplifiers, signal converters and digital terrestrial signal receivers for use in broadcasting and telecommunications.
The company employs over 40 people at three modern factory units covering 1,700 square metres on the outskirts of Andover.
