ATG Broadcast are 'the men for Uncle'

The Farm Group, London's leading independent post-production group, have chosen ATG Broadcast as systems integrator for Uncle, a major new facility adjacent to BBC Television Centre.
Occupying two floors of Network House in Ariel Way, White City, Uncle comprises ten Avid off-line suites, two online suites, two Avid Pro-Tools audio dubbing suites and a grading area. Six levels of Pro-Bel routing (SDI, PAL, 625/525 reference, digital audio, timecode and RS-422 data) are controlled by Pharos Pilot-RT.
ATG have developed an innovative solution to VTR mobility based on wheeled VT-Pods with all video, audio and control inputs/outputs passing through a single military-grade connector. Eight pods will be supplied, allowing VTRs to be relocated between the master control room and individual Avid suites with no time lost in replugging.
Manufactured to ATG specification by Custom Consoles, VT-Pod includes provision for an integral 15-inch LCD monitor allowing client review of material.
ATG integration specialists move on site at the end of August, with the first off-line suites entering service within only three weeks.
These will be followed in early October by the other facilities and central infrastructure.
