Alwyn Lindsey appointed Managing Director of ITN Archive
Alwyn Lindsey has been appointed Managing Director of ITN Archive.
He has been Sales Director of ITN Archive for over four years, during which time ITN Archive's annual turnover has more than doubled and continues to achieve double-digit growth.
Lindsey has led a successful drive to grow the ITN Archive business by expanding its range of collections and has recently signed deals to manage the sales businesses of British Pathe and Channel 4. His appointment reflects ITN's ambition to become the world's leading source of archive footage. ITN Archive is already the world’s biggest commercial video news archive.
ITN Chief Executive Mark Wood said: “Alwyn’s appointment as Managing Director recognises the enormous contribution he has made to turning the ITN Archive into our fastest growing business. I have every confidence that Alwyn and his team can now build a global business which will be a substantial contributor to ITN’s revenue and profits.”
Lyndsey added: “This is a hugely exciting time for the business. We have a proven track record of unlocking the commercial potential of other archives and I'm looking forward to securing further content partnerships in the near future. At the same time, we'll be looking to further expand our overseas business and to develop our sales in market sectors outside of TV”.
