Ascent appoint Matt Bowman Director of Entertainment Television Sales, UK

Ascent Media Group UK have announced that Matt Bowman has been promoted to Director of Entertainment Television Group Sales, succeeding the recently retired Ray Adams.
Bowman moves into this position after serving as Managing Director of Todd-AO Film Services, which included the management of the company’s Content Restoration Services (CRS) unit, since April 2002. Originally trained as a sound technician at Metrocolor, Bowman has worked at Soho Images, Telecine Cell and 4MC, after joining Todd-AO in 1998. During his time at Todd-AO, the company grew to be the largest laboratory provider in the UK drama market as well as commanding a significant presence in picture post-production encompassing a variety of programming genres.
“Matt is a respected member of the Ascent Media team, and I know that his appointment as Director of Group Sales (ETV) will further support the efforts of Todd-AO Creative Services, Soho Images and St Anne’s,” said Simon Kay, Managing Director, Ascent Media Management Services, UK. “Matt’s focus will be on the development of our Entertainment TV business including working closely with our MD’s to assist in unifying the sales teams from the three companies, and also gives us the opportunity to enhance our sales efforts with Ascent Media Management Services Division.”
