Mark Powell joins Lightworks

UK NLE manufacturer Lightworks has appointed Mark Powell as Sales Director.
Powell joins from Discreet where he served for five years in a variety of roles, including responsibility for sales of the company’s desktop NLE products throughout the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) region.
His time at Discreet was preceded by a three-year period at Softimage developing markets and sales of the company’s then-emerging high-end graphics products.
At Lightworks, Powell will be responsible for all sales channels outside of the Americas.
Commenting on his appointment Powell said, “In just a few months, Lightworks Touch has successfully rekindled the enthusiasm of the editing community for this outstanding product. I look forward to driving the momentum forward and establishing the market presence that Lightworks deserves.”
