ATG Broadcast PPR-4 post-production router introduced

ATG Broadcast have introduced a four-input router specifically for use with post-production workstations.
Available now, the PPR-4 post-production router provides a compact (1U) and highly cost-efficient alternative to buying multiple routers for video, audio and control switching. The design is optimised to enable easy integration into a workstation. Each of the four inputs has an associated video feed, four channels of audio and a serial control path. The video channel can pass analogue, SDV or HD; the audio can be either analogue or digital.
Selection is via dedicated backlit front-panel pushbuttons.
ATG Broadcast sales director Alan Pimm commented: "The need for a dedicated router optimised to allow efficient operation with video edit workstations became apparent during a number of recent ATG Broadcast systems installations contracts. The cost savings incurred with the PPR-4 are so substantial that we have decided to release the router as a stand-alone product."
