Snell Launches Modular IQ Range

Snell has announced the launch of the IQDBT105 DVB-T and DVB-T2 monitoring receiver – part of the Modular IQ range.
IQDBT105 is ideal for carrying out off-air monitoring of DVB-T and DVB-T2 signals, determining quality of service and ASI transport stream integrity. The module is also an effective addition to existing head-end control and management infrastructure. It allows operators to quickly and easily ensure that the correct program configuration and parameters are transmitted at the head-end.
The IQDBT105 is an innovative and highly customizable tool that enables operators to easily and reliably manage broadcast signals and identify when a signal is becoming un-correctable. The solution can be incorporated into existing DVB-T networks and is fully compatible with DVB-T2, helping broadcasters make the transition between the two formats.
In order to handle the additional complexity of DVB-T2 signals, IQDBT105 provides templates as a way of simplifying the process of signal verification. The templates prove pre-assigned parameters for signal modulation, speeding up the operator's task when checking DVB-T2 broadcast signals.
The IQDBT105 module integrates fully with existing Modular IQ solutions; multiple IQDBT105 can be managed using a single Ethernet port and Snell's RollCall control and monitoring software. All measurement, test and logging functions are performed and maintained within the IQDBT105 module itself as an additional failsafe. In the event of control network failure, the module will continue to function without interruption.
