Leading Romanian company transports signals with flashlink

Adisam Telecom SA, a leader in the Romanian telecommunications services market, have taken delivery of Network Electronics flashlink CWDM system.
flashlink is a versatile, cost-effective fibre optic transport platform. The sale was announced by Catalin Nitu of A. F. Marcotec, Network Electronics' representative in Romania.
Adisam Telecom SA provides services for Internet access, data, voice, teleport facilities and radio and TV distribution. The company chose Network Electronics' compact 2RU CWDM-540-4, capable of transporting up to four channels on a single fibre, to transport three SDI embedded signals from three TV studios to ADISAM's teleport, where the signals are uplinked.
Network Electronics' CWDM-540-4-fixed's wavelengths adhere to the standard set of wavelengths required for CWDM, ITU-T G.694.2. The optical filtering is mounted permanently within the frames. The wavelengths of the signal cards correspond to the wavelengths of the optical filters, however the signal formats running on those wavelengths can be chosen to suit the signal transport needs.
The CWDM-540-4-fixed system contains a dedicated slot for redundant power supply (AC or DC), RS-422 control, as well as the optical filtering and the signal cards needed to transport video and telecom up to 540 Mbps.
