Turner Broadcasting views over 500 Signals with Zandar MultiViewers

After extensive market evaluation, Zandar DX16 multi image processors were chosen by Turner Broadcasting Systems for its new state of the art digital satellite compression centres at its satellite uplink facilities in Atlanta, Georgia.
Supplied through systems advisors Technical Innovations Broadcast Solutions Group, these products allow Turner to view up to 704 feeds simultaneously, including over 50 Turner branded television networks, with unprecedented convenience. In total 44 DX16 were supplied for this prestigious new project, where 22 units will be used in each of two separate buildings monitoring main and redundant signals of every North and South American network feed in each of the two facilities.
Bob Baker, Director of Transmissions and Distribution said: "The ability to affordably view hundreds of feeds with quality was of primary importance. The decision to use Zandar in this application met both our technical and economic requirements head-on."
Zandar's position as a world leader in multi image display solutions has led them to the primary choice of broadcasters worldwide. Features such as auto detect of both analogue and SDI inputs and composite, component, SDI and line doubled VGA outputs have been developed to provide customers with the flexibility to accommodate mixed analogue and digital environments.
