Raycom Completes Sale Of A Set Of Wisycom Radio Microphone Kits

Wireless audio specialists Raycom have recently completed the sale of a set of Wisycom radio microphone kits and IEM system to Timeline Television Ltd for BT Sport.
BT Sport is the UK's newest sports TV service, with three channels showing a host of sport, including live top tier action from the Barclays Premier League, with 38 exclusively live matches, of which 18 are 'top picks'. The BT Sport studio includes three studios and a key requirement was for a campus wide wireless radio microphone network that would allow presenters to move between studio spaces without loss of signal.
Included in the deal are 16 MRK960 true dual diversity receivers giving 32 channels of wireless audio, 24 MTP40-L-P2 beltpack transmitters with DPA microphones and 8 MTH400 handheld transmitters with premium Milab heads. These can all be fed from the three studios using the MAT283 eight-way diversity remote controlled matrix combiner. This affords production full flexibility with any microphone able to be used in any studio or indeed any ancillary spaces such as green rooms.
Additionally, BT Sport was the UK launch customer for the new Wisycom IEM solution and Raycom supplied 10 channels of IEM TX using the revolutionary Wisycom MTK952 dual rack transmitter and 24 MPR30-IEM receivers. The transmitters have 330MHz tuning range and mono or stereo transmission. The receivers have an unprecedented 232MHz tuning range and are the only IEM receivers on the market to feature true diversity reception.
Timeline's Managing Director, Daniel McDonnell said: "With a high profile and complex live studio operation, performance and reliability were key. Raycom demonstrated an excellent understanding of our requirements and were chosen because of their proven technical solution and ability to delivery in challenging timescales."
Raycom CEO Pyers Easton commented: "We're delighted that, once again, Wisycom's game-changing wireless equipment has found favour in the demanding world of TV Sport.
"The Timeline installation of BT Sport's new studios at iCITY is a prestigious project and with the MRK960's already in use at ITV and other broadcasters they were the obvious choice for this new, fast-paced operation."
You can see the full range of Wisycom equipment along with its other lines at BVE stand H20.
