Zandar announces major orders for US broadcaster

Dublin-based company, Zandar Technologies has announced two major orders for a prominent US broadcaster.
Both projects were managed by systems integrator MCSi, based in Dayton, Ohio and were for part of Crawford Communications Atlanta operations.
The total order was for five Digital Multiviewers, one VMX-16 Analog Multiviewer and six ZAM-32 In-Picture Audio Metering systems. The first part of the order was integrated into Ocean Network, Atlanta, who provide 10 original network feeds and six turn around signals for Ocean Network's add insertion. The second part was integrated into LAPTV-Atlanta and consists of four network feeds. Common to both projects are Pinnacle servers, Asaca DVD archiving systems, Sundance automation and, of course, Zandar-assisted monitoring. As part of their integration remit, MCSi provided design engineers, project management, final system testing, performance verification and system documentation.
Crawford's lead Broadcast Engineer, Bill Elsholz commented: "In the two new server suites launched at Crawford Communications we purchased six Zandar multiviewer systems for monitoring the video and audio uplink and downlink signals. The Zandar allows us to view 16 sources on each monitor and provides various alarms for both video and audio. The implementation of the Zandar drastically improved the monitoring capabilities within the suites while greatly reducing the space requirements."
Zandar Technologies is a dynamic and progressive company with a wide range of innovative source display solutions. Their international customer base includes many of the world's leading companies in the broadcast, television and professional video markets, including the BBC, CNN and ABC.
MCSi has emerged as the US's leading systems integrator of state-of-the-art presentation and broadcast facilities.
