BBC Vecta expand board and exective team

BBC Vecta, the new company launched by BBC Ventures Group, have announced the expansion of their board and executive team with three new appointments, Marcel Puyk, Ian Mecklenburgh and Kian Kormi.
As Finance Director of Investment and Asset Management, board director Marcel Puyk will provide BBC Vecta with a "transformational vision in all areas of finance". He will manage finances and raise capital for the start up companies. Having worked extensively with technology start up organisations, most recently Marcel acted as a main Board member and Group CFO for GorillaPark, the first pan-European technology incubator. Puyk also brings experience from acting as Principal Consultant in the World Class Finance Group in KPMG.
As Director of Technology Strategy, Ian Mecklenburgh joins the senior executive team with 20 years experience in communications, IT and media business sectors. Mecklenburgh will be responsible for identifying new product opportunities for BBC Vecta’s business units. Prior to joining BBC Vecta, Mecklenburgh acted as Head of Interactive for BBC Technology, and was responsible for the development and deployment of “ Interactive Solutions.”
As Director of Strategic Marketing, Kian brings to BBC Vecta’s executive team 15 years experience in the communication industries. Kormi will be responsible for development of intellectual assets and defining the product identities. Kormi’s most recent position was Head of Change Co-ordination at Telewest Communications PLC.
