Red Light Runners add to finance team

Red Light Runners, the heist movie currently raising funds through the Enterprise Investment Scheme, has hired a former Barclays Bank film industry specialist, Geoff Salmon as a business consultant.
Salmon spent 18 years building a specialist film industry team at Barclays. He has great experience in managing production banking accounts and arranging finance against pre-sale contracts as well as other areas of media industry banking.
Red Light Runners will star former Reservoir Dogs star Michael Madsen and the recently recruited Minnie Driver, alongside Martin Kemp, of Eastenders and The Krays fame. Vinnie Jones, Mickey Rourke, Sara Cox and Gavin Rossdale will also have parts. Negotiations with Dennis Hopper and Harvey Keitel continue.
Producer Clark Westerman said: “I am delighted to have someone of Geoff’s calibre on board at this stage in the project. We intend to manage Red Light Runners as a very tight business and his experience would be invaluable. Geoff will likely be tasked with recruiting our film’s Line Producer.”
Geoff Salmon said: “Red Light Runners is one of the most exciting projects in the UK industry at the moment. We are extremely confident of its success and I am very pleased to be involved.
“Successful films need strong financial foundations. It will be my job to watch over the practicalities, allowing the creative people to get on with their jobs.”
